FAITH YOUNG

Faith Young, 15, of Savannah describes herself as someone with a goofy personality who enjoys laughing, running, cooking, taking pictures, singing, writing music, and watching Netflix.
She has a few careers in mind: sound engineer, military supply manager, or equipment specialist.
Faith says if she could change one thing about the world, it would be poverty. “All people should be equal,” she said. “I want to help people who are less fortunate.”

Alyssa Riley, 17, is from Fort Benning.
She hopes to attend SCAD and eventually become a fashion designer, writer, or photographer. 
She enjoys listening to music, reading fashion magazines, and socializing with her friends.
She describes herself as slightly goofy yet sometimes quiet. Her favorite quote is: “Little girls with dreams become women with visions.”

MADISON LAMBERT

Madison Lambert, 15, is from Savannah. She participates in her school’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) organization, the Beta Club, and the Spanish Club.
Right now, she is most excited about turning 16! But her future goals include studying biology and chemistry, attending Emory Medical School, and eventually becoming an anesthesiologist.
Madison enjoys writing poetry and short stories, shopping, and watching movies, and listening to 90s R&B. He also runs a fashion blog called Maddie Says.
While attending SSU Media High, Madison hopes to gain more knowledge about the field of journalism. 

KAILA COLLIER

Kaila Collier is a 15-year-old Atlanta native. She enjoys shopping, hanging out with her family and friends, and most of all writing. 
She writes plays, short stories, and poetry. 
Kaila wants to major in broadcast journalism. Her dream is to be an anchor on Good Morning America and become a best-selling author.

Kennedy Ingram, 14, is from Savannah. Her favorite subject is science, but she has a love for photography. She participates in her school’s glee club, theatre group, and Latin club.
Kennedy is socially conscious, and she’s concerned about racism, sexism, and corrupt world leaders. 
She plans to study broadcast journalism and business in college. 
She hopes her experiences at SSU Media High teach her more about the art of journalism and how to improve her networking skills.

JONATHAN WEAVER

Jonathan Weaver, 16, was born in Carmel, Indiana, and moved to Charlotte when he was 4. He is a thespian, musician, and activist who calls his style “distinguished.”
He was a background actor in Tyler Perry’s “Madea’s Witness Protection,” and he has performed in New York’s Carnegie Hall.
Jonathan is an honor student who hopes to one day study broadcast journalism

HOLLY HODGE

Holly Hodge is 15-years-old and from Savannah. 
She hopes to attend an HBCU (an historically Black college or university) and eventually become a pediatrician. 
She enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.

DaJuan Sampson, 16, was born in Charlotte and lives in Savannah. 
He enjoys traveling, playing video games, and watching and playing sports. Football is his favorite, but also plays basketball and runs track. He’s traveled to 10 states, but Washington, D.C., is his favorite city.
After high school, he wants to pursue his dream of becoming an engineer.

McCalla Scott, 14, calls herself the “coolest goofy person.” 
She is from Savannah, and hopes to enter the medical field. Perhaps as an OB/GYN. She’s also interested in culinary arts and home décor.
She enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.

Deshawn Carter, 15, of Savannah has a passion for photography. 
He is a young businessman with his own YouTube channel.
Deshawn hopes to go to college in Florida. He hopes to learn more about videos and cameras during his time at SSU Media High.

Laura Middleton, 18, from Snelville plans to study journalism at Lipscomb University in Nashville in the fall. She hopes to one day be a journalist and an editor.
She enjoys reading and playing video games. She also loves to travel and has visited Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Maryland, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia.
She hopes to gain more reporting experience during her time at SSU Media High.

Caleb Morris, 15, was born in New York. He now lives in Savannah. He enjoys listening to music and watching YouTube videos. 
Caleb excels in mathematics. When he graduates, he hopes to do something science-related, perhaps engineering or becoming a science teacher.
