Nicole Baker is the morning anchor of WJCL 22 Morning News in Savannah.
Nicole reported, produced and anchored at WJFW-TV in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, for two years. While there, she did live reports during the snowiest winter on record, exposed one of the area’s largest nursing homes as it provided improper care to its residents, and helped boost morning newscast ratings.
Prior to WJFW, Nicole spent time in the newsrooms of WSB-TV and CNN headquarters in Atlanta. She was accepted into the NYU Newsroom Academy, an accelerated news program. She is a member of the Sigma Tau Delta International Honor Society and a proud honor graduate of Spelman College.
Nicole grew up in Philadelphia but has deep connections and a love for the South. When she’s not anchoring WJCL 22 Morning News she enjoys an active lifestyle that includes yoga and running, as well as reading, writing, blogging and community service. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists.
